I am a young and crazy gal at heart, married to the man of my dreams, Chris, and we have two kiddos, Colton and Carlee (often called Fred).
Chris got a ranch job my senior year of high school and as soon as I graduated I joined him. I moved from the middle of town to the middle of nowhere. Now, we live on our own land that we’ve built from the ground up in Kansas. My husband works on the Drummond ranch taking care of cattle too. I use to rodeo right alongside Chris and the kids and you’ll still occasionally find me in the area. Most of the time, now a days, you find me being the crazy, hollering momma in the stands, driving down the highway with a trailer, or in the kitchen cooking.
Life is always interesting here on the ranch, to say the least. We try show our kids what to do and what not to do in life, but sometimes they have to figure out for themselves.

If your a ranchin’ boss babe yourself you already know how challenging it can be to have a main hustle or even a side hustle when you live miles down a dirt road.
My focus has always been on being a wife and mom keeping the ship afloat. I love to day work and help my husband on the ranch, but my personality always wants to do more. I’ve worked oddball jobs over the years like waitressing, rural mail delivery, substitute teaching, and even working at a vet clinic. None of those jobs made me feel satisfied. I wanted more.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting a job. Wanting extra money. Wanting a purpose in life other than being a mom and wife. It’s okay to want more.
I finally found the thing that made me want to get up everyday and I want to help other women who live down dirt roads find their “thing” too.
I lost 64 lbs. Nope that’s not a typo. And I can help you do it too.
I was getting ready to go to the Women's Ranch Rodeo Finals and I was going to get myself some new jeans. But guess what? The largest size in “my brand” didn't fit anymore. And I remember sitting there in the dressing room thinking to myself, "maybe if I get these pants starched they'll grow enough"...... But they weren't going to grow the amount of growth that I needed to make them work.
Up and down up and down with 50 lb. Gain it. Lose it. Gain it. Lose it. The struggle was real. My original goal was to get to 150 pounds.... so that I could wear any kind of pair of pants I wanted to any rodeo..... and they didn't have to be starched. But I blew right past that. I was so confident and so happy and eager to continue in my journey.
